As sponsors of the GCSE Construction course at Rainey Endowed School, Magherafelt, we felt that it was appropriate that we make a special award to the student that achieves the top GCSE results.  We were delighted to present the Gordon Henry Cup for Construction to the school for their Annual Prize Giving Night in September this year.  The winner was Rebecca Gilbert and she is pictured with Managing Director, David Henry on the night.

We were delighted to hear that Rebecca achieved second place in the whole of Northern Ireland with her result in GCSE Construction and the Built Environment and will attend an Awards Ceremony hosted by CITB early next year to celebrate the success of the top candidates.

It is pleasing to hear the value placed on construction by the CCEA and local schools alike.  The GCSE in Construction and the Built Environment has been developed by CCEA to help students to develop knowledge and understanding of the construction industry and have opportunities to apply their developing knowledge and skills in relevant, enjoyable and work-related contexts.
