Educational Outreach

With a commitment to supporting the next generation of construction workers, Henry Brothers works closely with local schools and colleges to provide unique opportunities and support to enrich the curriculum.

Rainey Endowed School

We currently sponsor the school’s GCSE Construction and the Built Environment Course to provide students with an early insight to the industry and the potential specialities within it.

Throughout the course, pupils develop and practice some of the craft, computer aided design and technical skills that are widely used within construction.

Ulster University

Our partnership with Ulster University supports Quantity Surveying students in their studies and encourages them to gain experience in the field.

We present prizes for The Most Dedicated Student to both First Year and Second Year (full-time) students studying BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management at Ulster University.

The Prize includes £500 cash, plus the opportunity for a Summer Placement (for the First-Year student) and for One Year Placement (for Second Year Students).

Adopt a School

Henry Brothers participates in the CITB ‘Adopt a School’ programme which aims to encourage young people to consider a career in construction.

We regularly host careers initiatives such as job sampling days and careers talks with our partner schools which has allowed us to show pupils the different paths into the sector, and the diverse opportunities it offers for everyone.

Nature Reserve

An open invitation is always extended to schools who wish to visit our 26-acre Nature Reserve in Magherafelt.

The educational visits promote the importance of biodiversity and sustainability and we are thrilled to have welcomed more than 500 school pupils to the park in recent years.

To book an educational visit to our sites or Nature Reserve, please get in touch at nature.reserve@henrybrothers.co.uk We look forward to hearing from you.
