PROJECT OVERVIEW:
A new shared Police and Fire Headquarters flagship development designed to bring operational efficiencies, interoperability, and financial savings to both organisations.
The three-storey, steel frame building with masonry and cladding comprises of shared office space, new police-control room, training centre, sports hall, gym, changing rooms and canteen.
External works included car parking and outdoor space, consisting of a new circular access road, parade square, outdoor exercise trail for staff, and a joint memorial garden dedicated to staff who have died in service.
The project was delivered on a busy/operational and high security 24/7 police site with emergency vehicles shared access.
In addition, the site shared an access road with the existing police headquarters, a private hospital attracting 100+ staff/patients daily, a rugby club, residences and county park car park.
