The construction industry has come a long way when it comes to the representation of women. This reflects highly not only on the industry, but the society we live in.
Women use the spaces, so they should be part of building them too.
For too long, the industry has been considered more suited to men, but this has changed and continues to develop, with construction becoming an ideal industry for anyone to work in!
Women make up around 14% of the overall construction workforce, but just 2% of that is onsite roles. This rate has steadily increased over the years, but there is still work to do and the construction industry should be viewed by talented females as an opportunity for skills development and career opportunity.
Henry Group strive to break the perceived biases that exist in construction, we recognise that encouraging, developing and supporting each other is what makes us altogether stronger.
