Encouraging positive health and wellbeing is a top priority at Henry Brothers and we actively promote and get involved with a wide range of initiatives to encourage this.

Journey to Net Zero
Sustainability is at the heart of our operations at Henry Brothers, with industry leading environmental practices implemented across our business for nearly three decades.
We recently made our biggest commitment to sustainability yet with the introduction of our Journey to Net Zero Strategy, outlining how we will build on our strong foundations to become carbon free by 2050.

Carbon Literacy Training delivered to staff
Completion of our first net zero build
Replacement of oil tanks at Head Office to support HVO fuel
Exceeded our first net zero target by 10% by implementing an electric/hybrid car fleet across the business
Created a carbon-specific KPI for the business
Launched our Strategic Energy Management Plan for both sites and offices
Collaborated with Environmental Leadership Teams from the CEF and Business in the Community NI to drive sustainability within the industry

Charity Partner of the Year
Addressing the needs of individuals across Northern Ireland whilst encouraging our employees to improve their mental health and wellbeing is a key element of our ‘Place’ strategy and was a driving force in choosing our Charity Parter of the Year – AWARE NI.
AWARE delivers mental health and wellbeing programmes into communities, schools, colleges, universities, and workplaces, encouraging people to speak openly about mental health issues whilst providing necessary support.

As part of our programme for continuous development in line with CORE, the Community Standard for Responsible Business, we launched our Group CR Strategy for 2022-2025, outlining our areas of focus in addition to setting our Key Performance Indicators.
