PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The Design and Build of a new 15,000m², three-storey prison block, creating a modern high-security prison, housing adult male long-term sentenced and remand prisoners.

The scheme comprised 372 single occupancy cells with en-suite facilities across five wings and a central core and included accommodation for ancillary support and amenities, housing healthcare, educational programmes, and specialist cellular accommodation

Utilising Modern Method of Construction (MMC), the building superstructure consists of off-site manufactured pre-cast concrete walls, floors and cell units. External works included high security fencing, roadways, footpaths and covered enclosed walkways. 

Delivered on time, to budget and with zero accidents or security breaches, the project achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and BIM Level 2, receiving a Considerate Constructors Scheme score of 45/50 and a Silver National Site Award.

Works also include a six-year post-handover planned and reactive maintenance service for the facility.
