Steven Hamilton, Manager of Anderson Interiors, a company within the Henry Group, has successfully completed the Advanced Manufacturing Leadership Programme at the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute, part of Queen’s University.

This programme spanned four months and included eight comprehensive modules designed to enhance leadership and management capabilities.

Participants explored advanced leadership practices and insights, developed confidence in leading their teams, and acquired practical tools for optimising manufacturing operations.

The curriculum also emphasised improving sustainability, boosting labour productivity, and applying frameworks to uncover opportunities for value creation and innovation.

Steven shared his thoughts on the training, describing it as an invaluable experience:

“This training certainly was a challenge – taking time away from the office while keeping up with work at the same time, but the value I gained was incredible!

“I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and learned so much, not just from the experts who presented each day but also from the other participants representing local companies.

“The on-site visits we attended throughout the programme were particularly insightful and beneficial.

“I highly recommend this course to anyone seeking to enhance their leadership skills, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to participate in this valuable training.”

Sandra Overend, Training & Development Manager at Henry Brothers, attended the final presentation event for the programme:

“During the presentation, we heard from each of the participants as they presented their business improvement ideas.

“Afterward, we celebrated with a lunch and the presentation of Programme Achievement certificates.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with those who delivered the training and explore further opportunities at the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute.

“We are pleased to hear how much Steven enjoyed the course and the significant value he gained from the experience.

“This training course, funded by the Department for the Economy and awarded through a competitive application process, made Steven’s participation and achievement even more significant.

“We would like to congratulate Steven on this well-deserved achievement.”
