Current NI Responsible Company of the Year, Henry Brothers, has announced it will sponsor Business in the Community’s Responsible Business Awards for the next three years.

The Responsible Business Awards honour organisations that go above and beyond to make a difference to their people, the planet, and to the communities that surround them.

Ian Henry, CSR Director at Henry Brothers, commented:

“The Awards shine a light on organisations leading the way in responsible business and are a great opportunity to inspire others to take action.

“As the winner of the 2021 NI Responsible Company of the Year Award, Henry Brothers is delighted to demonstrate our leadership in the responsible business agenda by becoming the key sponsor for the awards over the next three years.”

Henry Brothers, which recently released its Journey to Net Zero by 2050 Strategy and Group Corporate Responsibility Report, was named the NI Responsible Company of the Year in 2021 for its commitment to reducing the impact of its operations on the environment, cultivating a strong employee culture, and supporting the local community through various charitable initiatives.

The Responsible Business Awards is encouraging businesses of all sizes across all sectors to enter the awards before the deadline of 29th April.

Kieran Harding, Managing Director, Business in the Community said:

“Business is needed more than ever to step up and make a difference. Northern Ireland firms should be proud of all they have achieved during the challenges of the past two years through the pandemic and now as we face more uncertain times on the global scene.

“It is vital that companies support their people, keep the environment and sustainability at the top of their agenda and really deepen their engagement with communities. I encourage entries from the full spectrum of businesses, large and small, and look forward to recognising these achievements at our gala event later this year.”

Entering the Awards is free, and the application process has moved online, making it even more straightforward to submit.
