Henry Brothers Midlands has been shortlisted four times in the East Midlands Property Dinner Awards 2020.

Following a joint submission with project management consultancy Faithful+Gould, the £30m refurbishment of the W&S buildings at Loughborough University has been named a finalist in three categories – Sustainable Development of the Year, Construction Project of the Year and Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year.

In addition, Henry Brothers Midlands has been shortlisted in the Construction Project of the Year as part of the team that built a new £23m engineering building at Nottingham Trent University’s Clifton Campus.

Ian Taylor, managing director of Henry Brothers Midlands, said: “The East Midlands Property Dinner Awards is one of the key construction sector awards in the region and we are delighted to have been shortlisted on four separate occasions.

“Both the W&S buildings project at Loughborough University and the development of the new engineering building at Nottingham Trent University were great schemes to work on, and Henry Brothers Midlands is proud that they have both been recognised as award finalists.”

Alongside Henry Brothers Midlands and Faithful+Gould, other members of the W&S buildings team included CPMG Architects, Franklin Ellis, BSP Consulting, and WYG. The team that built the Engineering and IIDRA building at Nottingham Trent University included Henry Brothers, Edge PS, Maber, Curtins, and Pick Everard.

Marking its 20th year, the awards attracted a strong and diverse range of submissions. The judges were impressed with the quality of the entries and the scale and ambition of the projects and businesses which were highlighted.

Ian Griffin, Insider business editor, said: “The high number of submissions for the Construction Project of the Year and Regeneration and Restoration Project of the Year highlights the appetite for major development and brownfield redevelopment in the East Midlands, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and concerns over Brexit.”

The final of the awards is due to take place on 5th November at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre.
